From Audit to Installation: Delivering a Complete Workplace Solution
When a public sector organisation set out to create a modern workplace for 150 employees, the initial challenge was familiar: how to deliver an inspiring new environment without unnecessarily replacing everything that already existed.
Having supported the organisation for over 15 years, Flexiform knew there was significant value hidden within the existing furniture estate. Before designs were finalised, the team carried out a detailed audit, creating a comprehensive inventory and storage strategy that allowed every asset to be assessed.
Rather than treating the project as a blank canvas, Flexiform worked alongside the design team to identify which items could be reused, refurbished, reupholstered or relocated. Existing desking was repurposed to create dozens of additional workstations, while meeting pods and collaborative spaces were refreshed and integrated into the new workplace design.
Where investment was needed, it was targeted carefully. New height-adjustable desks, ergonomic seating, lockers and meeting furniture complemented the refurbished items, creating a seamless, high-quality environment that supported agile working, collaboration and employee wellbeing.
The result was a premium workplace delivered through a circular furniture approach, maximising the value of existing assets, reducing waste and ensuring public funds were spent wisely.
As a supplier on the National Public Sector Furniture and Related Services Framework, Flexiform helps organisations take a smarter approach to workplace transformation, combining furniture audit, relocation, storage, refurbishment, manufacturing, installation and ongoing workplace expertise into one complete solution.
A new workplace doesn't always require starting from scratch. Sometimes the best place to begin is with what you already have.
